Carpet Cleaning

Your carpet is a major investment in your home. As carpets become soiled it acts as an abrasive attacking your carpet fibers. This will cause premature carpet damage. Most major carpet manufacturers require regular Professional cleanings in order to maintain their warranty.
Carpet acts as a filter trapping airborne contaminants. Periodically this filter needs to be cleaned.

We recommend calling a professional to clean your carpet instead of attempting to do it yourself. Why? We sometimes believe we can save you money if we tackle a project ourselves. The problem with home steam cleaners is they may lack the necessary power to remove the deep imbedded soil and pet odors. They may lack the powerful water extraction of our truck-mounted system. We can heat our water over 200 degrees to give you the best cleaning possible. Remember specific stains and spots require different chemicals. Purchasing these on their own can be very expensive.

Cumberland Carpet Cleaning's Unique 10 Step Cleaning Process

  1. Carpet audit to determine your carpets fiber.
  2. Vacuum entire carpet.
  3. Apply pre-conditioner depending on carpet fiber and soiling conditions.
  4. Agitation of high traffic areas with grooming rake / floor machine.
  5. Soil extraction once soil is suspended by pre-conditioner.
  6. Spot removal with appropriate chemicals where necessary.
  7. Neutralization process with a ph-balancing fiber rinse.
  8. Apply carpet protector to entire cleaned area.
  9. Groom to raise pile height and distribute protector evenly.
  10. Move and reset all furniture using blocks or plastic to prevent staining and aid in drying.

After cleaning we recommend having a carpet protector applied to help protect against future dirt and spills
